Henry gets a visit from his Nora, Thais, and OliviaHenry scares it up with the gals

October was a fully loaded month. Henry turned 5 and he enthusiastically celebrated the 31 days of Halloween: he'd dress up after school, go out in the front yard, and either a) practice scaring people as some sort of skeletal hobgoblin; or b) whiz around as Spiderman. Henry -- no doubt -- has developed a Spidey Sense about what's for dinner (that he doesn't like).

We had Danny Barnes in town for a few days and toured around with him a bit. We all went to Santa Cruz and visited the KPIG studios for a live radio show (and the boys got to hear their names on the radio.) Henry also scored a skateboard while there in SC.

Simon competed in his first swim meet since joining the Alameda Islanders. More on this later, but he wants you all to know that he's MUCH FASTER than the video from this summer indicates.

Halloween was lighter traffic this year but our porch was even scarier with the addition of a strobe light. We need to upgrade the fog machine for next year. It still freaks me out how you'll see these couples with a baby putting forth 2 trick-or-treat bags. What can I say? You really feed your baby snickers? Is this your version of stocking up on provisions? Oy! Looks like I have to bump up to 500 pieces of candy in 2009 to accommodate, but it really is fun living in Halloweentown. Hope everyone had a good time.
